TTC after 35

Vent- Need to get it out so I can focus today

My trigger finally tested out, so that's 10 days for 6500iu's the same exact amount of time it took for me when I took 10,000iu's. Makes no sense but I guess there really is no exact science to it..

So I'm 9dpiui and depressed, I dreamed last night that I got a big fat bfp on a wondfo, but then when I woke up all i got was a big fat bfn... I know it's early but I'm already thinking next steps. I'm annoyed at my RE for not suggesting an HSG before we started the IUI's. At the time he felt since I had just gone through a D&C ect, it wasn't fair to subject me to it. But now we've done 2 iui's and what if I DO have a blockage, they were basically a waste of time!

I've had a ton of EWCM the last 3 days, no clue what's going on with that and I'm extremely crampy. I'm not taking any of this as signs of anything....  I know each bfp cycle is different but I've always gotten a bfp by 10dpo so if I get a bfn tomorrow I'm going to feel like I'm out this month.. sigh.

I just got back from smuggling, a pee cup, hcg test, applicator, panty liner and progesterone tablet to the ladies room, that was a lot to juggle, I'm so over this..

  • The tww is excruciating.  I really want to know how you smuggled all that into the bathroom.  I hope you took a big purse and did not just stick it all in your pockets.  The visual is making me giggle.  Hang in there.

  • This is why I love my scrub tops-- huge pockets. 2 of 'em.

I also have a little "women's pack" that has my tampons and pantiliners in it and it has girly colours/pattern, so if I put things like pills, urine cup, etc. in it when I go to the bathroom, everybody just thinks I've got my period.

  • I hate smuggling my OPKs and stick to the restroom.  I usually tuck it into my waistband.  I dread the day it will fall out of my pant leg.  I need to start bringing a cup - it's just easier.

I'm really surprised that your dr didn't do an HSG before IUI.  An HSG was the first thing my dr did.  She said it was the easiest to treat.

Hope your day goes better.  :)

  • Yah I started to get pissed about it today, he brought it up at my last ultrasound I understand he didn't want to further traumatize me but maybe we could have held off on the IUI's another month until I was ready to do it. This past IUI most of my follicles were on the left and I only had 1 on the right, so if there's something wrong w/ my left tube I'm screwed. At this time I'm covered for the IUI's but if I was paying for it, I think i'd be requesting a refund!

My wallet is fairly slim, so sometimes I stick them in my waistband, which yes would be ackward if it fell out..lol today I have a flowie shirt on so not as noticable in my pockets. I think my company should set up a poas station in the ladies room!

  • I would also be questioning not doing the HSG before IUIs. I hope for your sake you don't need to go there, but I would definitely do it before pursuing any further treatments.

Hang tough through the 2ww torture, and good luck.

So I'm 9dpiui and depressed, I dreamed last night that I got a big fat bfp on a wondfo, but then when I woke up all i got was a big fat bfn...

Just as a small FYI, my Wondfos were two full days behind my FRERs picking up a BFP.

And since I use Wondfos to test out my triggers, they were probably not all the way out when the Wondfos said they were.

Wondfos are great and cheap, just be careful especially if you are switching back and forth.

Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! • Thanks :)  I used a frer this morning as well, just cause i have a crazy stash of hpts going on lol, very faint line but not sure if it was just the indent line? It's so hard to tell on those, I could see it right away but hard to determine if it was pink or not. I know I have gotten total bfn's on frer's no discernible line at all.

But based on getting bfp's last night on wondfo and bfn this morning I'm going to guess anything I'm picking up now on a frer is the last of the trigger..Will I ever get to the point of not obessesing about this crap, some of the ladies on here have so much patience, I just don't think I'll ever get there.

You are not alone, I pee a LOT:) For what it's worth, I never get a positive until CD30 and that's with ovulating around day 14/15. I'm rooting for you!

  • Vent all you want. We can all relate.

Devil's advocate position on the hsg: since you've had a number of bfps, holding off on the hsg isn't that risky

Fx for a second line tomorrow morning.

  • Fingers crossed for you!
