LO will be 9 mos this week (wow!). For those of you who have BTDT...
Three weeks ago LO went through a growth spurt and couldn't get enough BF, bottles and solids. For example, I'd nurse in the morning and she'd chug a 6 oz bottle of BM at the sitter's two hours later. Or at night I would nurse and she'd drink 2 oz of formula right afterwards.
This week she's not "finishing" both sides when I BF and she won't touch the bottle at the sitter's for five hours later. She seems happy and healthy (and 90% for weight and height). She is teething her top teetch, I did get my cycle last week, but I don't think those are major factors this week.
I'm thinking I should trust the little body - that all is well, but I am a touched worried (with my MIL looking over my shoulder) about her reduced intake since they say BM/formula is supposed to be her major source of nutritional intake until 1 yr. It just doesn't seem she's getting over 20 oz. Could it be we are feeding her too many solids? Or maybe because she's 21 lbs she's shifting her diet needs early? Or maybe this too is a phase ... this week...
Any experience, advice appreciated. TIA!
