Any thoughts on staving off labor?

If you look at my ticker, you can see I am not too far away, and my first was a week early. We are on the other side of the country from our family, and while friends have offered help, I really want this baby to stay put until my mother in law arrives Sunday to take care of my little boy. Just noticing today mounting lower abdominal presure and slightly more organized crampy feelings. um, as crazy as this sounds, any thoughts on keeping labor at bay?

If the baby is ready, there is nothing you can do to stop it.

  • Yeah, if things are ready to go, then there's nothing you can do. But it can't hurt to rest, stay off your feet. It didn't help me, but who knows! haha At the very least you'll be well rested for labor =)

Off my feet-it just doesn't happen with my 2 year old! But you ladies are right, I knew it in the back of my head!
