teeth clicking?

I must have fished in Lexi's mouth 10x this afternoon before I figured out that she didn't have plastic in her mouth, she was just clicking her top and bottom teeth together?? this doesn't seem like a good habit!

Re: teeth clicking?

  • They grow out of it. My DD did a lot of teeth grinding for a couple weeks and my friends DD did it constantly for awhile. It's irritating but they get over it. DS started clicking his together the other day because he just got his first top tooth through.

  • Carter doesn't click his teeth, but he always acts like he's chewing even if there's nothing in his mouth. I've fished for nothing a million times.

She may just like the sound. They are experimenting with language at this age. If that's the case, I bet she'll grow out of it.

  • Abby and Lil do it too. I called their pedi because they Abby is just relentless. She said that it is normal and they should grow out of it, but to make sure to mention it if they are still doing it at their next check up.
  • Avery started doing it hard core. We had almost broken him of the pacifier, but our pedi said to use it to get him to stop.

  • DS has been doing this for months now - ever since he got his top teeth. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me and DH!
