Pulled groin -.-

So I knew that my leg had been hurting for about two weeks now, ever since I started working on our garden out front, but I finally decided to look into it, and apparently I've pulled my groin. Which just sounds ridiculous to me, but it hurts a lot and makes it hard to walk.

I still have another two weeks of classes, which includes a ton of walking around campus, including some really intense stairs. I'm sure all that activity isn't helping me any, but I can't really put it off. Have any of you guys pulled a muscle or are you having a lot of trouble walking because of the baby weight? I'm trying to figure out ways to help this muscle heal a little faster... I'm keeping a heating pad on it, which seems to help a little, but not much.

Re: Pulled groin -.-

  •    I pulled my groin muscle two weeks ago! I'm still dealing with it. Apparently, during my pregnancy I heal very slowly. After two weeks of not being able to walk easily I googled ways to stretch it out in hopes of making it feel better.

I found five stretches that seem to be working, but the only thing that really helps me is sitting on my butt. After two days I felt 90% better and started to work on LO's room again. After doing two loads of laundry, organizing some clothes in the closet and arranging the changing table. All of which took me five hours lol I took a few breaks - but by 6pm I was not able to walk again.

It sucks and I hope you feel better soon!!

  • I have bursitis in my left hip and on top of it I pulled my left groin muscle about 2 months ago. It's still an issue! My OB recommended a maternity chiropractor to help manage the pain and it's been a life-changer! I am sleeping better, waking up happier, he has completely relieved my bursitis, which in turn has taken a lot of the stress off my groin muscle. My chiropractor is amazing, he's not a run-of-the-mill 3x per week for life guy, I am going one a week or every 2 weeks as needed. I fyou can find a good maternity chiropractor I would highly recommend it!

  • So sorry to hear about the pulled groin! I'm pretty sure I've done something to mine as well. I haven't gotten it checked out, but it definitely feels like I've strained or pulled something down there. I love being pregnant, but I sure have felt new aches and pains like never before (and I played rugby for 4 years in college!)
