Just want to introduce myself..

It seems like some of you girls know each other rather well and I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My wife and I have been together for about 4.5 years. We were married in DC in June of 2010. We just welcomed our first on April 19th. She is our perfect little Lily pad. We are cloth diapering and I tried to EBF, but I'm failing at it. I need to supplement more and more each day and it just kills me. I've seen a LC and pump at home. Things just aren't going well in the BF department. I teach and am lucky enough to be off of work until the end of August! Anyway.. I'm glad I found this board!  Smile

Welcome!  The beginning of breastfeeding is so hard.  I had supply issues too (possibly due to a really complicated C section recovery) and had to supplement from the beginning too.  It was heartbreaking in the beginning, but in the end i realized that any milk from me was better than none.  There was a nice stretch around 2 and 3 months when I didn't supplement at all.  But, for the most part he has been combo fed and it has really been fine.  Healthy and as bonded as can be.  I am so sorry you are having this struggle too.  Try not to be too hard on yourself.  It may work our perfectly and you may be able to fully breastfeed as I do think the very beginning doesn't always reflect how it will be.  Or you may have to supplement which will continue to be ok too.  The most important thing is for you little one to have a mom (or two) who isn't really stressed out.  So be kind to yourself.
