slow cooker question...

I am cooking a pork roast in the slow cooker.  The roast is frozen.  Should I cook it on low or high in order for it to be ready for about 6 or 7.  I started it at 10am on high...not sure what to do...TIA

I always cook mine on high then turn it down when it starts to pull apart.

    This, exactly.

If it is a couple hours before we plan to eat, and it isn't ready to pull apart yet, I cut it half so it cooks more quickly.

  • Guess I'm in the minority, I always cook frozen roasts on low all day so it doesn't dry out. Haven't tried the other way before!

Same here, but I have never cooked anything that was completely frozen... always thaw first. Just keep an eye on it.
