Am I being unreasonable?

My dad's GF wants to throw a surprise bday party for him at a semi-pro baseball game two weeks before my scheduled C-section. I will be 37 weeks pregnant by then and I told her to not schedule plans around me b/c sitting in the hot sun in a small bleacher seat is not something I really want to do. So I let her know (nicely) to not plan around me. By 37 weeks pregnant w my son I could barely get around bc he was so big (10lb, 8 oz at birth/39 weeks). And this baby is progressing the same way.

 I just wanted some thoughts on how you all would handle this or if you have come across any situations like this. Thanks!

    I think you handled I very well. There is nooo way I could go sit out in the heat in bleachers even at this point!!

    I think you handled it the right way. You let her know nicely to not plan around you. Nothing wrong with that. It's not like you demanded she change the date or anything. Hopefully you can celebrate another time with your dad.

    I don't think you are being unreasonable at all.  The only unreasonableness would be if she actually expected you to go.  Are you comfortable enough saying something like:  I would love to help you celebrate my dad's birthday, would you consider having a nice casual dinner at a sit-down (air conditioned) restaurant?  If you are set on the baseball game, I'm afraid I won't be able to attend.   Thanks for understanding.

    Sounds good to me. You could also word it that you will do your best to be there if you can but not to worry about you.

    Thank you! I was worried I was being silly. I know some women can do anything and want to do anything up until their 9th month, but I am just not one of those women LOL
