If this cycle is a bust, which I will know a week from today, then I need a new plan. I feel like I am just coasting. This will be my 4th month with Femera and 2nd Femera IUI (4th overall).
Since we have an "unexplained" diagnosis the IUI's were just some added insurance. But as I read stats on unexplained time is not on my side, as the chance of getting pregnant by the 2 year mark (almost there) drops to 2-3% per cycle.
I haven't had lap and have an endometrioma on my left ovary, just hanging out there but I produce follicles on that side.
My treatment plan was set up by RE and is being administered by my OB/GYN (fert specialist) since the RE is two hours away.
I guess I have two options, lap surgery or try injects? We aren't willing to do IVF at this point.
Guess this is somewhat of a rant.......if you were me what would you choose? I really don't want surgery but if I knew I would get pregnant I would do it.

TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013.
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair.
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies.
Wishing, hoping, waiting.
I have had all the testing, RE reviewed it all and nothing. I also had a repeat HSG because dye didn't spill on both sides the first time so they suspected sapsm - spilled perfectly the second time.
RE was indifferent about lap, my OB/GYN now thinks I should do it. I have no other endo symptoms other than the cyst or endometrioma that has been there since I had DD.
If I remember correctly, an endometrioma means you have (at least) stage III endo, and the chances of getting pg with it are 2-8% (what my doc just recently told me). Those stats don't change with injects. I think your next step should definitely be a lap, as the environment is too toxic for sperm, eggs, or an embryo because of all the inflamation.
Sucks to hear, I know. I have at least stage III as of right now, and my second surgery is scheduled for May 17th. Good luck.
Thanks....I have never been told this! They assume it is an endometrioma since it doesn't grow but doesn't go away either?
That is great info! I have wanted to do a lap for awhile. But, my dr doesn't think it's necessary. But I have heard A LOT of stories of success after lap. Good luck! Keep us posted!
