Insurance question

If a dr. says they take a certain insurance does that definitely mean that they are in network?

Because my dr. says he takes my new insurance but he isn't in their system.  but the system says that not all dr.s may be listed.

    Are you looking on your insurance website or did you call and ask if that doctor is in network?  I wouldn't go by the website and would definitely call the insurance company to make sure he is in network.  When in doubt I go by what the insurance company says.
