What just happened?!

DS always eats 2.5-3.5 ounces. I think twice he has eaten 4 oz - but that's rare. I have him a bottle of breast milk (3 oz) and after he ate he was still fussy and rooting around. I made him 2 more ounces of formula and he gobbled that up!!! Holy cow!!! He's gonna be a hoss if he eats like this normally and my tatas will not be able to keep up. I get 3 oz tops when I pump (total out of both sides)

    Right there with you. Just started taking Fenugreek yesterday. I am hoping it will do me some good.

    It sounds like a growth spurt.  Are you pumping or nursing?  If you are pumping, make sure that you are pumping for every feed that he has.  If nursing, let him nurse more often.  Either way you are demanding more supply so your body will produce. 

    Also remember, they need more formula since it doesn't change like breast milk does.  My BSC MIL who thought formula was best said I was underfeeding DS at 6 weeks old.  She feed him 12 oz of EBM in less than three hours and that was with me nursing him before I left him with her.  She stated he needed much more than I could ever supply him.  Ummm...BM changes as baby changes.  DS never took more than 3-4 oz at a feeding (even when he was stretching feedings to 3-4 hours) even when he was 10 months old.  The only time he took more was when my freezer stash was completed at 11 months and he had formula, I think that was the first time he took 8 oz at a feeding.  I had EP'd until 9 months with him.
