Anybody else wish they still made drop side cribs? I'm not tall by any means and my crib seems so tall for me. Hubby thinks its funny to watch me try and figure out how I'm going to put lo into it. I really don't want to use a step.
I mean c'mon, my mom used a drop side with all five of us, no problems here.
Whats your thoughts?

CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
I wouldn't use it if I were you. they were recalled for safety issues. they may be more convenient, but they are not on the market anymore for a reason.

they were recalled because some babies lost fingers when the drop side fell unintended.
I would personally risk it if I were super short, but its not an issue for me. This is one of those risk/benefit things in my book.
I was just wondering why they are making shorter cribs available. I wouldn't risk it either.
You're not just risking fingers. https://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40678788/ns/health-childrens_health/t/after-dozens-deaths-drop-side-cribs-outlawed/
Sorry it's not clicky. I'm on my phone.
We have a drop GATE crib. They still sell them and they are safe. I am short and have no issue with our crib.
