Not sure if I ever updated over here. We have been trying to adopt for a little while now. Back in March we traveled to pick up a baby girl. Spent about 24 hours at the hospital with her before we found out the birth mother was basically trying to give her baby to the highest bidder. (There was another family at the hospital before we got there, the whole thing was a huge nightmare.) That birth mother is now in jail and the baby and her older brother and sister are in foster care. So, terribly sad.
We took some time to grieve the loss then jumped right back in. This past weekend we were matched with a birth mother expecting a baby boy on May 22. Three weeks!!
We are praying this is our forever baby and that he will complete our family. Any thoughts & prayers you have to offer would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Re: We are matched again :)

What a difficult journey this has been for you and your family, but I'll say a prayer that this is a smooth and successful adoption!

WOW!!! I lurk over here (rarely post, and typically am on the adoption board). I followed your story on facebook and was so sad for everyone involved with your failed match. I can't even imagine going through that whole ordeal.
I am so thrilled to see you are matched again!!! Congrats, and I'm praying that this is your baby and everything goes smoothly!
To respond to your most recent facebook post, my DH and I were a couple with an easy peasy match, so sometimes it really does happen that way. We did have a few bumps in the road, but nothing major, and overall I would say that we had a very pleasant adoption experience. I'm hoping the same will be true for your family and this baby!
