Baby Showers

co-host

2 of my friends, who don't know each other, have offered to host a shower for me. I don't have a very large social network, so I don't want to have 2 showers. Could I ask them to co-host? If so, how would I go about doing so?

Re: co-host

  • I hosted a shower with someone I had never ever met before.  It was for a friend of mine and her cousin.  She just gave me her cousin's number and email (maybe gave her cousin my info) and I contacted her through email and we just started putting ideas together and figured out budget, location, decor, etc.  We never butted heads on anything.  The shower might have been a little more dis-jointed then I would have liked...but it was very nice and the MTB was happy.

  • Yeah, you konw your friends best.  Do YOU feel they could work well together?  If so, hook them up.  If not, accept the shower from one and tell the other "Oh, thanks, but a shower is already being planned.".

  • 3 of my friends who don't know each other are hosting my shower. I sent out a group text with each other's contacts and sent them on their way. Now they talk, email etc to take care of the shower...I am staying completely out of the planning.
