odd breast mass

Back in February I had a mammogram done. I was called back for some additional pictures of my right breast. Everything was fine on my left side. About two years ago I had a breast biopsy on my left side but everything turned out to fine. Apparently I have very dense tissue and lots of calcification and they hard time deciphering whats what on the mammogram.

Last night I was waiting for MH to come to bed when I noticed what feels like a large gumball size mass on my left breast. If I pull my arm up over my head and sort of lean to my right, it is very noticeable. I had DH feel it this morning and he thought it was very pronouced too.

I'm not overally worried because I just had a mammogram, but still this odd lump has me wondering. I've been doing luteal phase HCG since December, but I skipped last cycle because of my lap, this cycle I O'd late and our timing was off. I didn't think it was worth bothering with. Do you think the hcg from Dec-Feb could have caused my milk ducts to wake up? but then that would have showed up on the mammogram in Feb, right?

I have a Dr's appointment on May 17th and I will be sure to have the Dr. check it then, but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might be causing it? Certainly a cancerous lump wouldn't grow that quickly? I always thought that a bad mass would be pea size and hard. This feels more like a cyst, but thick semi-solid like. I have no pain or discomfort. Any ideas?

It could be a cyst -- I've had a breast cyst once before and it was very similar to what you're describing. Mine was a little tender though. I went to the doctor and they told me it was very common in someone with "dense breasts" like myself (so sexy sounding, right?)... the doc also said to stop drinking caffeine because that can trigger it.

Praying it's nothing and hoping you get some answers soon! I'd still probably get it checked out ASAP just to put my mind at ease.

I'm always of the school of "get it checked" just to be safe. I think it is prob a cyst and will be fine.

I did some googling and I think it's a cyst too. it's sort of moves around, which according to Dr. Google is a good sign for a cyst. It's just weird, I never noticed anything like it before. Hopefully it's leaves before the Dr. appt but I'll be sure to say something either way. Thank you!
