Recommend a breast pump

I know there have been other posts about this but I havent really looked into them very much. I want an electric double pump but dont know what. I dont want to spend a lot on one. I am looking of one about $100 or less. I have looked a little at walmart but am unsure of what to get. I just need a good brand thats not crazy expensive. Feel free to recommend your breast pump even if it is over $100, Spending more isnt totally out of the question for a good pump.

Thanks!

I am currently looking at a playtex pump. Anyone know if this is a good brand?

Any brands anyone doesnt recommend? I am totally clueless.

Re: Recommend a breast pump

  • I got the Ameda Purely Yours because it is a closed system and highly recommended.  You can get it for $159 if you get just the pump and don't go for the whole carrying case...or $199 if you get the whole shebang.

My cousin had issues with milk getting into the tubes and whatnot of her Medela and said it was a pain to go through the whole clean out process.

  • I only ever used one model - the Medela PIS - so I have no other experience to compare it to. I found it to be adequate and it was good for travel (we flew across the country out of necessity twice while I was still pumping).
