What to register for

FTM here! I was wondering if there is a good list out there that compiles all the things you "need" for baby.

DH was very overwhelmed at BBB. He requested that I get a list of items together and then we pick out what to put on a registry from there. Is there a really good list that you've been working off of?

I used the Baby Bargains book (as recommended on here) to make my own list. I also asked on facebook and got a pretty solid list from the people I'm friends with who have kids. I made a list to take to the store because the ones they gave you have a ton of stuff on them (I found that to be true for my wedding as well).

We used to BRU list as our starting point. I think they have both short & long checklists.
