We've been PT LO since Friday and it's going really well. After the first day we've only had one accident where she started to pee and then stopped mid flow while she got to the toilet.
So far when we've had to go out I've put her in a training nappy. She's pee'd in public toilets or at Grandma's house and been fine with it, but then it's like she's known she can just pee in the nappy and stopped bothering about the toilet.
So when do you trust LO in public in underwear?
Thoughts?
Re: When to trust potty trained toddler in public?
This is a great idea! Thanks. LO has been PT'd for about a month now (though she still refuses to poop in the potty). I will usually put a pull-up (that's what we call them here in the States) on her for public outings, although I have experimented with putting her in undies to go to a few places and she has done fine. I will probably keep her in pull-ups for a while, at least until she starts getting comfortable pooping in the potty!
It took about a month of being highly successful before I trusted him enough to go out. We used the bathroom before leaving, kept the outing short and kept an entire change of clothes in the car along with his frog potty.
I trust him much more now, and just ask him every 30 minutes or so if he needs to go. We haven't had an accident in public yet.
