I am pregnant with #2 due in October. And now that I'm a SAHM I plan to CD the new baby.
Well, DS is 2.5 and not close to being potty trained. He is scared of the potty and I'm just not pushing it.
So, my question is- what are your thoughts on buying some CD's for DS? And if so, what type should I use??? I'm doing my research on this for new baby but there's not a ton of info out there for first timers with a 31 pound child ![]()
TIA!
Re: Thoughts/advice on CD'ing my toddler for the first time please?
DD is also 2.5 and nowhere near being potty trained either, so I feel ya.
I use bum genius and fuzzi bunz. FB have size large diapers and they are great (DD is 35 lbs) and have plenty of room to grow. The BG 4.0 one sized are on the last snaps, so I'd buy them if you definitely plan on using them with #2 since they won't last as long as the FB.
Thanks for the tips, glad I'm not the only one with a not-interested-in-using-the-potty child!
Meet my 30 pound almost 3 year old who will only use the potty if he's naked - doesn't matter what is on his butt, he will pee in it and not care if it's dripping down his legs.
My personal favorites for him are Knicker Nappies OS, Kawaii Bamboo Mom label, and WAHMies. They are cut the biggest, and yet they are still One Size, so they fit both boys.
I would probably just get one-size diapers, so that you can use them for the new baby, too. Most brands say that they fit to 35 lbs, but they must be testing them on 35 lb kids with no butt, because my DS has outgrown a lot of our stash.
The OS diapers that fit my 35 lb 2.5 year old best are our Happy Heinys and Kawaii Bamboo Mom Label. I've heard that Sweetpea makes generously sized OS pockets, too.
Ok thanks everyone!
I really didn't know where to start and now I feel better
