Re-intro (XP) 5.5 years of IF (on/off the boards), 4 doctors...trying again.

I posted the message below on the IF board, before realizing that this board existed.

Hi everyone.

I'm re-introducing myself, again. I've been dealing with IF for over 5.5 years. I've been on and off the boards all through that time - sometimes regularly, sometimes sporadic. DH and I decided we would try one last ditch effort with a new practice that a close friend of mine used, and hope for the best. We'll continue with treatments through the end of this year, but after December we will pursue adoption with gusto.

We did our 1st IUI with this new practice last Wednesday, following an injection of Ovidrel last Monday, and I started progesterone last Friday. I go back on 5/9 for my blood test. This is the first time any doctor started me on progesterone. I can't lie, I POAS on Sunday just to see the line from the Ovidrel (sad, I know, I'm a compulsive POAS-er).

Fingers crossed for a successful cycle. Good luck to all of you as well!

  • Jen! Welcome back to the boards, though I wish you didn't need to be here. I'm still here, unfortunately, but we've had a lot of really awesome success stories as well. Hope your new clinic will make it so you will be one of them too!

Hi Jen! It's good (yet, not good) to see someone familiar. I am so sorry to see that you are still on this board. I'm hoping it isn't for long! I hope you're doing well overall. Take care and be well!!
