Trying to Get Pregnant

Thank you to the nurses who helped me out a bit ago

There were so many of you who replied and were helpful, that it would be hard to contact you all individually, so I thought I'd just write a thread :-)

Thank you thank you thank you to you ladies who replied to my thread, PMed me, and emailed with me about your experiences and advice about me changing careers and going to nursing school.  After talking to a lot of you here, friends of mine that are nurses, and friends of friends, I've definitely decided to go for it!

I'm going to take this year to take my A&P I class this fall semester, take the A&P II class in the spring, and that will allow me to work full time to seriously pay down some debt while getting the last two Pre-Req classes out of the way before applying to the school of nursing within the college I've chosen.  Then in 2013, I will hopefully be accepted and will go to school full time to get the associates for nursing while working part time and then I'll do what some of you did and hopefully become a nurse with my associates and continue on for the BSN online while working.

I'm so full of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation and I just wanted to extend a very sincere thank you for sharing your wisdom and time with me. :-)  You ladies are wonderful!

Yikes! I was a nursing major for one (yes, one) semester, when I realized that I just don't have the stomach for it.

It's a different breed of people who are able to handle the things nurses do day in and day out. I have the utmost respect for them.

Best of luck to you in your journey.

Good luck! I am on the same path as well. Need to get microbio and A&P down before I can apply for nursing school. How long is the wait at your school? The one I want to go to is 2 years! Its crazy.
