Yes, I have. Will still have to stop at registration to sign consent forms, but won't have to go through all my demographics, emergency contacts and insurance info.

I go to a hospital on a Navy base so we don't have to pre reg. We just show up when I go into labor. There are only 6 rooms...small hospital....but the birth rate where we are stationed is low, they usually only have 2 occupied at a time.
We had to pre-register around 20 weeks. The ob's office sends it in, I'm assuming they want to make sure it gets done. If I get there and my pre-registration form is not there, I will be sooo angry.
I did back in January. Normally I am a procrastinator but with the baby I have actually been able to keep on top of things and since our hospital is so popular I wanted to make sure that I definitely got in.
Yes, we did. I also called to re-confirm that they got my paperwork because with DS, they lost it . I didn't realize it at the time but I was almost completely dilated and re-filling out paperwork. By the time she got me back in a room and checked me in OB Triage, I was complete. This time I am not taking any chances.
Last time around I did it and they still asked me everything again anyways. Such a pain when you are having contractions and in labor. Probably because so many people have things change by the time they are actually admitted (the months between pre-registering)? I'm about to send mine in for this baby. I have been waiting because I have a new insurance starting on May 1.

Yes, I pre-registered a couple of weeks ago, and the hospital already wrote me a letter telling me how much money I need to bring when I come in to have the baby.
Not yet, but thanks for the reminder! We have a L&D class at the hospital tonight and I have an appointment later this week, so I will have two chances to try and remember to ask about it.
We pre registered a few weeks ago with insurance, emergency contact info, demographics, etc. We have an appointment in a few weeks to go in an sign all the rest of the paperwork: consent forms for IV meds, epidural, c-section, etc. That way during actual labor I won't have to sign anything or fill anything out. When I do go in to labor I can go straight to a room and get settled without registering.

This and what was really annoying was every time I went to L and D they asked the same questions, this was a total of three times, once for non-stress test, once for the Foley bulb insertion and that night I went back to be admitted, on the third time I snapped at the nurse and said what is the point of pre-registering. Never did get an answer
We pre-registered on Friday, and got the tour of the place... so glad! It's super, super nice. Labour/delivery/recovery rooms are all in one, whirlpool tubs, all the amenities... like going to the ritz!
And a handy phone number to call so they're all ready and waiting for us when the big day arrives.
I filled out the paperwork while I was waiting for my 1 hour glucose test. The parking permit is in our hospital bag, and I'll just give them the name of our pediatrician when we get there (I didn't have one when I filled out the paperwork).

Unfortunately my hospital does not allow you to pre-register. I will do it when I get there to have the baby.
