This is a check-in for the ladies of TTCAL that are in the various stages of IVF from developing a plan, waiting to start treatment, starting treatment or in the 2WW. IVF is something that many of us never thought we would even be considering, but is now a reality and our only chance of having a child. This group is here to support eachother as this journey can be trying and confusing.

Happy Monday Ladies! My day is off to a pretty good start. I got on the scale this morning and instead of going up from eating pasta and being a slug yesterday, it went down! Smile

I can't believe how fast time has gone. It seems like just yesterday I got the MTX shot. On this week's agenda...Thursday I should have DH's SA results (FX for good results) and I have to make the dreaded payment for my cycle by Friday (YUCK). By next week's check-in I will know if I'm starting the cycle or not...I can't believe it!

QOTW:

IVF - My cousin and his wife did IVF for their 2 children due to her having Lupus. I don't talk to them about it though. Also, my boss dealt with some unexplained IF to get his son, but they never made it as far as IVF. He's very understanding and supportive about everything. Not that I've told him much, but I did give him the heads up since I may need time off at the last second.

Non-IVF - I have 2 kitty furbabies. Their names are Tom Tom and Hanky and they are 3 years old. I love them soooo much.

I got AF last week, so let my IVF cycle begin! Here is what it looks like:

BCPs until 5/9. Wait for AF.

Start stims 5/16 (at the latest, earlier if AF comes sooner after stopping BCPs)

450ius of Gonal-F, then cetrotide until follicles are mature enough for trigger.

Estimated ER of 5/28 (yup, Memorial Day...I hope it's really that day I'd LOVE to not have to take a day off from work!)

Day 5 a-CGH for BT (FX we have enough fertilized healthy blasts)

Day 6 ET.

IVF related: Do you know anyone IRL that has been through IVF of IF?

One of H's best friends from HS went through multiple failed IVF cycles (with a loss of twins) and they've gone on to adopt last year. He's very open about it all, where we're fairly private IRL so we haven't told him about our IVF. Someday we'll talk I'm sure but for now it's our little secret.

Non-IVF related: What kind of furbabies do you have? Names, ages, etc.

Just one furbaby (pic in siggy) he's my 15 year old kitty. He's awesome and is my little partner in crime

they are going ok, only on Lupron now and down to 5 units.

My moms tenant has done a few rounds of IVF, a friend of my sisters...

1 Female, Flashy Fawn Boxer, she will be on 5/26.

No updates on me yet, I only have 2 tests left so I'll test again Tuesday and Thursday. I'm anxiously waiting for the number on Friday!

KGS2_00- ((HUGS)) to you honey, I've been thinking of you.

IVF related-DH works with a guy that had gone through IF and done IUI with his wife. We go out as couples every now and then. About 7 years after they quit trying they got pg. They now have a lovely 21 year-old young lady (they are older than us). Also DH's cousin tried for a year and a half before they were successful.

Non-IVF related-We have a dog, Monty Burns that will be 4 on July 29th. And a cat, Bowser that will be 8 on October 31st. The cat is a little evil (he bites me for no reason), I blame his birthday. jk

Yeah i was on 10units for 5 days... stopped BCP yesterday and my last 10 units yesterday... now im on 5 units until 5/3, start Ganirelix on 5/4 (as long as the sono on 5/3 is ok)... thank you!

Amidkiff...My SIL lives in Valparaiso. Give me your address so I can send her over with some pee sticks! Angnshaun...Good luck! I will be thinking of you! Ironmom2be...Sounds like a detailed and well thought out plan. I was hoping my ER would fall on a weekend as well, but the only way that would happen is if I get delayed starting or have to stim for longer. I'm certainly not hoping for either of those scenarios!

LOL...actually no. The story is that Hanky was named after our previous cat Henry who was the same color and similar pattern as well as attitude. Tom Tom was just random.

Yes, she passed all of her test. We are supposed to get our calendar this week. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

IVF related: I have a co-worker who went through 2 unsuccessful IVF cycles at my RE's office before moving on to adoption and a client who had a successful IVF cycle at my RE's office. I don't have any friends IRL that have been through IF or IVF.

Non-IVF related: I don't have any furbabies. DH and I aren't home enough.

I am so nervous about this weekend and IVF. I have to be out of town for my little sisters graduation. I hope my calendar doesn't estimate this for ER although it would be nice to have an IVF cycle buddy.

Hey ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. I went in for my monitoring appointment this morning after 6 days of stims. There are quite a few follicles on each side measuring between 8 - 10 mm. My E2 came back at 247. My RE is happy with the numbers and I will continue stimming until at least Thursday, which is my next appointment. If everything looks good on Thursday, I will trigger that night and have my ER on Saturday! Hoping things continue progressing well so I can have the weekend to relax before heading back into the classroom on Monday.

GTKY QOTW:

IVF-related - I have quite a few friends whom I met through my RE's office that have gotten pregnant from IUI. No one that I know has been through IVF.

Non-IVF related - DH and I have 2 dogs, Bella and Murphy. Bella is a long-haired dachshund and Murphy is a corgi. They're both 4 years old and have tons of energy.
