Dropping to 2 naps?

When did your LO go down to just 2 naps? DD just dropped down to 3 naps about a month ago, with the occasional 4th nap if they were all short.

This weekend, she has been a hot mess going down for what would be her second nap. She still goes down for her "third" nap just fine.

She usually wakes around 6:30-7:00am and takes her first nap by 9:30. Her second nap used to be around 1:30-2:00ish and her third nap between 5:00-5:30.

I always thought that when she dropped her third nap, it would be the 5pm one. Is she just having a bad nap weekend or is she dropping down to 2 naps?

DD will be 7months on the 6th.

    DS is 8 months and he wakes around 7am, naps from 1030-1230 then a second nap around 330 until 5ish. His naps adjusted at around 6 1/2 months. They used to be at 10, 2, and 5. Then he dropped the second nap also and the time changed to 330. It sounds to me like she is ready also. Unless its just one of those wild hairs they get, she may go back to her normal naps. I'd recommend testing how she does with 2 naps, you may have to move her 5 oclock nap up a bit though.

    She started consistently dropping the last nap of the day for a few weeks now, but would do it off and on before that--so probably right around 7m.  She was kind of in the 2-3-4 pattern, but now she is more the 2.5-3-3 pattern :)  (hours between sleep times)

    DD is 7.5 mo and we are at an in-between stage.  Whether she takes 2 or 3 naps usually depends on how long her first nap is, which can be anywhere from 40 min. to 2 hours.  A 3 nap day has naps around 9:30, 1:00, and 4:30 and a 2 nap day has naps around 9:30 and 2:30-3.

    At 6 1/2 months and he is still doing an average of 3 a day. The first two are pretty short (30 minutes to an hour) abd his last one is a good 2-3 hours. 

    He starts getting so tired though it's obvious he wants to sleep, I think he will be pretty easy to tell if he didn't want to map.
