I called the OB yesterday. The lady on the phone was really nice and didn't ask too many questions. She was going to fit me in on Thursday but I can't bring myself take off work in the last month of school. We have the day off on Friday May 11, so that is when I will be going to get it checked out.

DH is convinced it is an ingrown hair, I am not. I had my mom feel the lump, (its under my arm) she then told my father too. His response "I have a lump under my left arm too" Really dad that is what you think. He then said that I should get it checked out. My parents both put off going to the doctor, so it must be something for them to tell me to go. I told my dad that I was not going to feel his armpit.

    Better to have it checked out and know for sure (although I'm the type to put off going to the doctor as well).  I'll be thinking about you -- I hope everything goes well at the doctor, and keep us updated!

    Is the lump sore to the touch at all?  Have you had a cold or the flu recently? I hope it is nothing-  I also had a lump just under my armpit and I went to the doctor to get it checked out and it was a swollen lymph node, and it went away in a few days.  It was hard to the touch and didn't really move around when I pushed on it.

    I hope yours is nothing too, but it is always better to be safe than sorry!

    I get lumps like that all the time under my armpits and on the sides of my breasts. They are just little cysts due to my hormones always being out of whack and they get worse with caffeine intake. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is all it is!

    I hope it turns out ok!  Sounds like it could be a swollen lymph node or cyst.  I had a swollen lump underneath my right breast Surprise around the time I went for my annual, my OBGYN checked it out and said it was an infected or blocked duct.  It was about the size of a nickel and red, hot and very painful.  It took about 3 weeks for it to completely resolve.

    Lots of testing, all clear with the exception of compound heterozygous for the MTHFR mutation. 

    Cycle 1: Femara, trigger shot, Bravelle added due to slow response = BFN
    Cycle 2: Cancelled due to two cysts =(
    Cycle 3: Femara, Bravelle, trigger shot and IUI = BFP then loss #3
    Cycle 4: Femara, Follistim, trigger shot and IUI = BFP!  EDD: 6/7/14

     It is hard and it hurts. It doesn't move but will if I push it. I have not been sick recently.

    how close to your armpit is it? I had a lump about 3 inches below my armpit. My OB took a look and send me to a breast cancer specialist (EEK!!). She monitored it over 6 mo and it turned out to be an inflamed lymph node which she said was fairly common. Apparently it can be caused by "cat scratch fever" (I don't have a cat, but whatever).

    I hope everything go well, good for you for getting it checked out.



    It is right at the bottom of my armpit, where the hair stops growing.

    I hope it turns out to be nothing, but definitely better to get it checked out, just to be sure. Let us know how it goes!
