I'm thinking right now it is just going to be me and my husband. My mom and sister really want to be in there, but I don't think I want a whole audience. I kind of want it to be just a special moment between my husband and myself.
How many are you taking with you?
Re: How many people in L&D with you?
With LO... My Mom, MIL and DH were all in the room while I was laboring but I did not want them in there while I was giving birth. I was induced at 8:00pm and they both came around 7:30am the next morning. I wanted my mom there I was getting nervous and I still want my mom when I don't feel well. I also told DH to tell his mom she could come up. We have a great relationship and I thought having everyone around would make the time go faster and keep my mind off things. Turns out by 9:00am I getting wheeled into surgery for emergency C-section and it was just DH and me in there. At that point my BFF, Mom, MIL, Dad, FIL and my grandparents were all in the waiting room. Hour after c-section when I was wheeled into my room they were all in there too. I loved having everyone there to celebrate with us. I felt ok, just a little tired. They all stayed about an hour and then left.
This time since it is scheduled C-section I think we will just call everyone when we are in our room and then they can come. My Mom will bringing LO with her and I want to make sure I am feeling well and everything is ok before LO gets there. I don't want anything to scare her.
