I just realized that I use these on all toilets in the house (I hate toilet smell), even on the one we installed the CD sprayer on. How will this affect my cloth diapers??
Also in your toilet tank, if you have rubber gaskets by the bolts that hold the tank onto the toilet body, the bleach will eat through your rubber gaskets, causing your toilet tank to leak eventually. We had this problem and had to replace all 5 toilets. Ugh!
We clean our toilets with vinegar and baking soda once a week. Never had any toilet smell, but once the rug in front of the toilet smelled - I didn't realize DH was making a mess each time -- yuck!! SO now I wash that and the floor in front of the toilet every two weeks.
We used them when we had ridiculous water that left rings no matter what we did... It wasn't a matter of the toilet smelling.
That said, I'm afraid to use them with our cloth diapers. They always end up dipping into the toilet. I'm also afraid to use them with our septic system.
Re: Clorox Toilet Bleach Tabs...
Don't dunk your diapers in the toilet with them in it. A sprayer will be fine because it bypasses the chemicals.
As a side note, those are really super bad for the environment.
