Going into the stroller search process, I was convinced I was going to get the chameleon; however, after looking at various strollers, it quickly fell to the bottom of my list. I don't remember every reason I had for not liking it, but I know I found it a PITA to fold/unfold, hated the basket, and hated all the extras you had to buy (not due to price necessarily, just didn't want to have to deal with it). I know there was more than that, but it was a while ago! One thing I did like was how it pushed. But the others I looked at were just as good, so it didn't really help the bugaboo's cause. I ended up going with Orbit Baby, as it was by far my favorite, but I remember thinking that based on what I did like about the Bugaboo, if I wanted to go that kind of route, I would go with the Uppababy Vista
I'm not going to be helpful with the Bugaboo part of this, but I love the stroller we got, and am a little nutty about recommending it!
We got the Urbanlite from Graco. LOVE. I had always liked the idea of a travel system, (Im a little OCD about everything going together) but I'd heard tons of awful things about travel systems, and I'd hated all the ones I'd ever seen my friends have. Bulky, heavy, PITAs. Then I got a newsletter from Lucies List with this on it, so I decided to give it a shot.
This stroller (you don't have to buy the whole system) is less than 20 lbs., fits nicely in my trunk, and pushes soooo smoothly. It's also got the 5 point harness, and Aria adores riding in it. The handlebar is adjustable, so it can be the perfect height for me (5'8"), my husband (6'2"), or my Mom (5'1") who is our babysitter. If you pull the seat back up a little after latching on the infant seat, the basket is still accessible, which is a must for me. (I take half the house everytime we leave) It comes in a bunch of cute colors/patterns, and the fabric is super easy to clean.
My only suggestion if you choose to buy it, is to shop around. I found it for a great price on Amazon.com, but 3 months later, a friend of mine found it on another site (Burlington?) for cheaper than the current listed price on Amazon.
Thank you! I actually also like the orbit too but I heard its a heavy stroller, how do you like it
I LOVE it! It's not a lightweight stroller, but it's not any heavier than others in its class (including the Bugaboo). It is super easy to fold/unfold - one handed for sure. You do have to take the seat off, but that is so easy that it didn't bother me. I love how it pushes, the handle bars, the "basket" underneath (almost more like a diaper bag), and especially the rotating feature (I love that it's SO easy to go from facing you to facing away even with LO in the seat, and I love that those aren't your only options - you have everything in between!).
