I am so sick of my vacuum cleaner. It's been good to me, but I'm ready to move on. It's a bagless upright and when I use the hose if I step 3 feet away, it falls over. I literally was yelling it at before. It still does a pretty good job of picking up the endless cat fur that magically appears again 30 seconds after I vacuum, but doesn't do well on my hardwood floors.
What vacuum do you use and do you love it or hate it?
I was considering switching to a canister vacuum and saw the LG Kompressor in Real Simple magazine. It sounds pretty cool.

Anyone have this one?
Re: Fighting with my vacuum!
I know the LG got better reviews but I'm attached to my Dyson. It is awesome. DH has asthma and once we started using the Dyson vs the other vaccuum it really helped. Let me tell you that thing has some serious suction!! LOL

WARNING against Dysons...(what DH and I just learned)
DH and I got a dyson maybe 2 years ago (it was the special animal one). Ever since we got it, and I am talking within the first week we had it get it repaired. we had 2 cats at the time and the thing clogged every time I used it. I had an 800 sq ft condo and it took my 30 minutes every time I vacuumed because it would clog and go into a fail safe and I would just be shuffling stuff around. About a month ago DH and I finally got so fed up with it that we took it to get repaired for the third or 4th time and we learned that a lot of the newer model dysons have the issues we had. Also if you need to get it repaired it can be very difficult to find a place to do it because you can't really get the parts to fix it anymore. We ended up trading it in and got a miele. They are super expensive but I have yet to have any issues. It also works 10 times better then the dyson did.

MH and I bought a Kirby- you know, from a vacuum salesman who came to our door. He convinced us after about a 2 hour sales pitch and after he shampooed two rooms for us! We have two dogs and BOTH shed real bad. I can't remember how much we paid but I remember it was ridic.
