I want to use cloth diapers with my twins. With DD hubby have up at like 4 months. I want to convince him to use them for out lo's.. Any suggestions that might win him over? He says heroes t like cleaning poo. It never bothered me. You still have to wipe baby butt...
Re: Twins and cloth diapers..
We're currently cloth diapering our newborn twins. We used disposables the 9 days I was in the hospital (postpartum complications), and I don't find dealing with cloth AIOs to be any grosser or more poopy than the sposies were. They're cuter, they fit better (tight elastic around the top and legs = fewer leaks), they're better for my babies and the environment, and they're saving us a ton of money because having two in sposies is NOT cheap.
Because twins are likelier to be born early and born smaller, it made sense to us to have a full stash in NB sizes (BumGenius XSs, Lil Joeys, and Kissaluvs), and a full stash of OS pockets, rather than using disposables until they fit in the OSs, because they will fit in the NB dipes long enough to make it cost-effective.

Cloth diapering twins, Part II.
I'm expecting twins in July and we'll be using cloth. We already use reusable products in the rest of our home (cloth napkins, no disposable dishes, no paper towels, and he even washes my cloth menstrual pads) so I didn't really have to say anything to convince him. We don't have kids yet, but my husband has cleaned up enough vomit and poo from our dogs that diaper laundry won't be a shock to his system.
Can you imagine how many cans of dirty diapers will have to sit in your driveway between garbage days? That's got to be stinkier than throwing them in the wash every day or two.
