Everyone i talk to still tells me "you need to sleep when she sleeps during the day"
but i am just NOT a good napper- i cant sleep during the day- i sometimes force myself and i just lay there thinking about all the things I could be doing instead of sleeping....
but then by 8pm i am exhausted- cant even eat because im so tired and usually end up falling asleep on the couch while DH watches baby girl- so i'll get an hour nap at like 8pm and thats it.
so are you sleeping when LO sleeps??? or just becoming a zombie like me?
Re: so who sleeps when LO sleeps like everyone says you should???
No naps here I'm usually up for the day around 6:30-7 am. I'm ready to pass out around 8 pm though but I don't get to bed until around 11. DH doesn't get home until close to 10 and I usually get DS ready for bed but he doesn't fall asleep until after daddy tells him goodnight.
I figured I'm letting my body get use to going back to work.
I once had a picture until the trolls showed up.

My problem is that this kid wants to sleep ON me. So I catch a nap while sitting up sometimes but it's hard to relax. I have to make sure I'm in a seated position enough so that I can't move. He won't let me put him in the swing or bassinet without waking so I haven't slept horizontal with a pillow for a week. The only reason I could put him down before was because he was jaundice so he was extra sleepy. And I can't hand him off to DH because he works nights.
So I TRY to sleep but it's never a restful sleep and it's never longer than 2 hours so I'll get an hour or so here and there. The scary thing is that I'm totally used to it now and I rarely feel tired anymore. I don't know how long it is healthy to go on like this though
