Just started my stims!

Welp, it's official now...it's begun!

My husband is doing my injections, I had about a 30 minute crying tantrum while the first needle starred at my stomach. Finally we decided it was best for me to not look whatsoever and let him suprise me with it. I was happy (while sobbing) that the first shot (Follistim Pen) wasn't that bad! Yahoooo! But then the 2nd shot (Menopur) with the regular needle not only looked more scary but hurt a lot more! Ugghhh, I hope it gets better with practice and me getting used to being jabbed!

In other news, I had my B/W & Ultrasound this morning and I am usually totally fine with arm B/W, she hurt like hell and my arms been throbbing all day! Thanks lady!

I just did my first stims too. I was holding the Follistim pen, ready to do it myself, but was just too anxious and decided to have DH do it instead. He did the Menopur too. I think I'll be okay to do them in another day or two, but I was just so worked up about this finally being "real", that my nerves go the best of me. I even started crying when we were done. Not due to paid (there was none), but the excitement of it all just got overwhelming. DH and I joked that those hormones took effect really quick, lol.

So, I do temporary piercing as performance art so I have no fear of needles--- -- but let me tell you--the needles for this *** scare me.

I just finished a round of stims---and I needed them Intramuscular---so no belly ones for me. And then, I stopped absorbing them in my ass. So, had to switch to my thighs. My partner has done all my shots for me. I did good until we had to switch to the thigh. That resulted in me holding the needle for 15 minutes and just flat out sobbing.

That said-- if you are going IM-- into your thigh, deltoid or ass --- ice it. My nurse told me to and I didn't believe her. Then, I did. It was MUCH more tolerable.
