Only about 12 weeks. I was really excited to get started. But after one weekend of working my tail off, I kinda lost my motivation. DH and I have just been chipping away at it ever since, and we just finished it last Saturday.

We started after we found out we were having a girl - around 20 weeks. Started with painting and stuff first. I got really into it, i.e. accessories, etc. around 28-29 weeks.
I was about 23 weeks pregnant with my twins. I would have started sooner but we were having company stay with us for a weekend and I wanted to wait until after they were gone before my house became a total wreck with all the moving of rooms.
We started at 21-22 weeks. Once we found out it was a boy we finalized a bedding design (haven't ordered it yet) and paint color. We already had the furniture in the room but nothing was arranged and the crib wasn't set up. With our first one, we were waiting until around 29-30 weeks when the room would have become available (was used as a bedroom until then). This time the room wasn't being used so we started on it once we felt ready and had the free time. It's now painted and the furniture has been set up.
I have an idea of what we want to do, but we are waiting until week 20 before painting or anything - that is when we hope to find out the sex. Plus a lot of the stuff for our nursery will be on our registry so we won't be filling the room until after the shower. I would say the earlier the better...time flies!!!
We started looking at furniture early, like maybe 13 weeks. It took SIL 17 weeks to get her stuff and I didn't want to be that unprepared. I think we ended up ordering it around 17 weeks. Once we found it was a girl at 19 weeks we began looking at bedding. I was registered by 23 weeks.
