Help: I have some gaps in my stash

I'm going to a cloth diaper store this morning to fill in the gaps and hoped I could get some opinions:

Newborn:
* 6 Thirsties size 1 covers
* 12 prefolds
* 2 Grovia AIO

One-Size:
* 7 Econobum Covers
* 7 Grovia AI2 Shells
* 4 Happy Heinys pockets (w/ 4 NB and 4 OS inserts)
* 11 BumGenius pockets
* 9 BumGenius inserts
* 28 Prefolds

The gaps I see are NB prefolds and Grovia inserts (I got all of them as seconds). Do I need a lot of inserts or will the prefolds be able to work as inserts?

    The PFs will work. The shell then becomes like any other diaper cover. To complete your stash consider snappis, wet bags, wipes, and make sure you have a CD safe detergent.

    Thanks! I do have snappis, home-made wipes, and detergent, too! I need to start looking into wet bags next :)

    I'd get more small prefolds.  You want at least 2 dozen but 3 dozen is better.  Newborns pee and poop a ton!!

    count on at least 12 diapers a day for newborns.  I think we went through 15-17 a day because she always managed to pee as we were putting the clean diaper on her - and I thought only boys did that.  Get two wet bags and two pail liners.  That way you can use one while the other one is in the wash.
    If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
