Need to stretch

It's as if my back and torso area can't stretch enough today.  I'm leaning frontwards, backwards, to the side, tightened and stretching my muscles, cracking my back-it just won't relax.  I've resorted to begging a co-worker for a back massage, but I'm afraid it won't work either.

Do any of you have restless back syndrome?  It's as if my muscles are anxious or something.  I'm dying over here!  If this were happening in my legs, it would mean it's time for a walk/run.  What do you do when it happens to your BACK??

  • Do you have an exercise ball that you could round over? Yesterday I was so sick of not being able to lie on my belly that propped up a ton of pillows and sort of did a child's pose over them while I watched tv - felt so good on my hips and back!

  • I enlist my honey to give me a back rub, but it's only a temporary fix. I really want to try what PP said and go buy one of those exercise balls. I was thinking of bringing one to the hospital with me too since I heard they help some people with easing labor pains. 

    I'm pretty much in the same boat as you though, no matter what I do, I still ache. I even told my other half to tell me if I'm slouching or not so I can be reminded to sit straight. He has reminded me, but I'm still aching. Good luck to us both!
