subchorionic bleed

Has anyone else had this? I am 9w4days pregnant. I went in yesterday for my first appt with my OB and they did an ultrasound. The baby's heart rate was 180 and baby was measuring at 8w4days. They did not seem concerned with the measurements of the baby and said everyrthing looked great. subchorionic bleed was measuring 1.2 x 0.57 cm. I have not had any spotting or anything. I have had some cramping and my back is pretty sore today. I have a daycare so I do lift the kids, but the nurse said lift nothing over 25lbs. If anyone has any info for me or has had this please let me know! TIA

Re: subchorionic bleed

  • I had one too that they found at around 8 weeks,it has since absorbed itself and all is well. I did have some bright red bleeding a few days after i found out i had it and was put on light bedrest until it absorbed. It's fairly common in pregnancy.

  • I have one two and the u/s tech said sometimes they come from the baby attaching in one spot and then moving a little.  I was told that some brown spotting may occur but not to worry it should be absorbed fully in a few weeks.  I thought I was the only one because she mentioned seeing two sacs and two yolks but only one baby so I thought it had something to do with that.

  • I had oNe with my first pregnancy. No big deal at all and it was healed by 12-13 weeks. Just drink a lot of water and like doc said no heavy lifting, otherwise you will bleed and it could possibly grow. If you take it fairly easy the next few weeks it will be gone in no time. Dont let it stress you out.
