Sex life.. poll from an august mama!

Hi ladies!

I'm just popping in from the aug board, I hope you don't mind, I just have a little question for you! I'm 25 weeks along, and curious as to what my future holds for our sex life! Are you/DH/partner still in to it? We're still newly weds... hoping our sex life doesn't taper off too much! TIA for the responses ladies!

My weekly answer is based on being 37 weeks pregnant with a toddler. Before I got pregnant the second time and after her sleep got back to normal things were more frequent.

Our sex life was pretty normal up until about 27-28 weeks (2x a week approx, sometimes more). Then it tapered to 1-2x per week. At 34 weeks I got the flu, and we haven't done it since then. We'd like to, but Dh got the flu after me and is still recovering.

I'm hoping to get a few more sessions in before the baby comes, but honestly its really hard to get comfortable, decent positions, etc. and not be totally exhausted.

My answer is it's been awhile. And since I found out I was pregnant with DS in October 2009--it's pretty much been like that. We have had sex probably a good 30 times since I got pregnant with DS over 2 1/2 years ago. We did have sex more frequently we we started TTC. And by more frequently, I mean we had sex 2-3x a week during my fertile week. DS was also a great sleeper from the beginning so that really wasn't the issue...

Since I got pregnant with this one we have had sex 5 times.... Sad huh???

...and we were newly together--and had sex like rabbits beforehand... But as you can see other's are different.

I can relate to this. Ds #2 is only 18 months old and since I got pregnant with him it has been once a month at most, except the one month I got pregnant with lo. Between pregnancy, nursing, lack of sleep and raising kids it just isn't the top thing on my to do list. Plus when we do it is uncomfortable and I'm always listening for ds to wake up.

Things were pretty regularly once a week up until about 30 weeks... I think we've only done the deed once in the last month. I am usually just too tired or sore or feeling like a whale to be in the mood. Dh has kinda given up trying (what with the constant rejection) so that doesn't help any. I told him last night that he should remind me to give it a try today, so we'll see how that goes.

2-3x/wk until the last month or so- now i am just too tired and uncomfortable all the time, it's more like once or twice a week. But they say to keep it up, it's good for the cervix!

Same for us. The "shape" of things has changed down there and it is really hard for me to have an orgasm now during sex! Lately we have been trading favors instead - he gets a little something and I get a back massage, which is MUCH more appealing these days!! We do occasionally (like every few weeks) have sex, though. Even though our sex life has definitely waned, we are still happy with it for now.
