Infertility

Been planning IVF for 2 months and it's done in 2 weeks!

I'm looking over my calendar and it astonishes me that after planning this IVF cycle for 2 months, it's only 2 weeks from starting stims to ET.  I know that once I get started it's going to go so fast.  I feel like we put more effort in to planning it with the testing and the stressing than we will be for the actual cycle.
3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

  • It is unbelievable how fast an IVF cycle goes. At first it seems like it is so far away and it feels like it is going to take forever, where in reality, it only takes a few weeks. It looks like our ER dates are only a day apart. Good luck!

  • DH and I were going over dates and plans (started stims tonight) and I kept saying "RE expects ER to be week of May 6th".  Then I showed him on the calendar that it's the week after next.  It's crazy to think this will all be over so soon.

  • I stimmed for 8 days and it went super fast. Don't worry though, the joy of injections doesn't end after stimming. They just get bigger and hurt more (PIO)

  • It really does seem like time flies by while you're stimming.  I think once the monitoring starts, that's when things really start picking up.

Of course then later you hit your 2ww, which then feels more like 4 weeks, LOL.

This! My last cycle went by so quickly but once I hit the 2ww it felt like time was just dragging!

  • It's amazing how fast the cycle seems to go once you start the stimming.  Plus having a monitoring appt. every other day gives you something to look forward too.  I was told to plan on stimming for 12-14 days.  We only ended up stimming for 8.  ER was 10 days after stim start and ET 13 days after stim start.  Even the 48 bedrest seemed to go by quickly.

I'm dreading my 2ww as I don't have my beta until the 10th which is exactly 14 days after ET.  I see so many others going in much sooner.

My calendar has me stimming for 9 days.  My nurse said most average 10 days, but they are expecting me to stim realy well.  My beta is also 14 days after transfer.  I don't understand why when everyone seems to get their BFP's around 7 days post transfer.  I haven't decided my testing plan yet.  I have a feeling that I'll be testing daily to watch the trigger dissappear and hopefully another line appear...FX!
