I have been having pain under my right ribs with pain going into my back for over 2 months now. We did a gallbladder ultrasound and some blood work also related to the gallbladder. Everything looked ok but the pain is not getting better but usually worse.
Its always uncomfortable but I really only complain when I'm having actual sharp pains.. which is becoming more persistant. My ob keeps telling me its indegestion and I'm taking zantac 300 mg 2x day. It isn't helping! Today I called them back and she recommended I go to my primary care physician (who had her practice destroyed in the tornadoes last year here in Joplin and is working now w/ the hospital that doesn't accept our insurance) or go to urgent care. Urgent care was a JOKE!!
He told me he was their more for sniffles and asked what I wanted him to do... umm you're the dr?? He offered to let me go to the ER (which I don't want to do) but told me that basically they couldnt do anything for me bc I was pregnant and that I needed a primary care dr but wouldnt be able to find one to take me 5 mo pregnant. He was an A HOLE!
I've been waiting since noon for my ob to call me back, maybe they can refer me to a primary care dr... I don't know. I just can't be in this kind of pain for the next 4 months and continue to work. I'm exhausted and just sick of being in pain.

Re: At my wits end w/ pain and dr (long)
I'm guessing you are referring to the lady I call my "witch doctor". Shes great, and thinks I have a hiatal hernia. I tried to get the urgent care dr to look into that but he bascially refused. She pulled and pushed on it and it felt better that day but told me that it would take 10 days to heal up correctly. I know whatever it is has moved back. I have felt "sliding" of something across something else when sitting up.
"I will show you the kind of big sister I will be..."
LOL My witch doctor is a man, but yes! I have had that same procedure done before pregnancy and I can tell I need it again. I'm a little worried that with all the crowding going on in my abdomen it might not stay in place as well.
