  I assume you tried going up a size? When we had leaks, that solved the problem. You might also try letting her rest on an incline rather than flat on her back. I notice poo definite migrates up the back when they're on their backs but when my son goes while he's in his Rock and Play, it all stays in the crotch area of the diaper.

  I have the same issue. When I went a size up, the poop didn't come out the back, but pee would leak of the side every single time I fed him. I still havent' figured out what to do yet.

  I have heard some brands are better for short chubby babies and some for long thin babies but I'm not sure which. Maybe something you could look up? That being said, going up a size solved that problem for me.

  No, I haven't tried a size up.  My daughter is about 13lbs. 8oz. now, and she uses size 2, which is good for 12-18lbs. babies.  It's actually pretty big for her, so I think size 3 would be too big, no???

  I'm using Pampers Swaddlers, and my daughter's poop often leaks from the back. (Her poop goes up toward the back.)  I had the same problem when my son was a baby and never figured out how to deal with the problem.  I tried different diapers with my son, but I remember nothing really worked.

  We are traveling on the airplane in June, so I'm hoping someone can help me to solve this problem.  TIA! 

  I hope others can help with this, because I am having the same problem with my newborn..he not only poops out the back but he pees back there too. I have the pampers nb swaddlers but it's still too loose in the back...how many outfit/blanket changes can you have in a day??
