I know there are tables out there for water and electric usage while CDing, but I just got both bills in the mail today and wanted to actually check the numbers myself.
For anyone who's SO isn't convinced (or anyone who's not convinced!) that CDing will actually result is $$ savings because of increased utilities, here's the evidence to the contrary! For comparison purposes, my whole house is on electric and the average outdoor temperature this year was 2 degrees higher than the same time last year.
3/24 - 4/24 2011 Electric usage: 1684 kwH
3/24 - 4/24 2012 Electric usage: 1747 kwH
$$ increase of less than $10/month, and is not all attributable to CDing
Total water usage has gone up by 1500 gallons, but that's only about a $5 difference, and obviously is not all attributable to CDing.
I dare someone to diaper a baby in disposables for less than $15/month!
