    I wish her lots of luck, but wow.. I just can't get behind the motivation to have 9 babies at once. Just the toll that twins can take on your body is taxing. I can't imagine trying to bounce back after having 9 babies in one pregnancy.

    Where would you even find the time and energy to take care of nine babies at once? Not to mention the financial burden. 100 diapers a day?! Good luck.

    I've gone through fertility treatments, and it sounds like a negligent doctor. Responsible fertility clinics will do ultrasounds to make sure that you don't have too many follicles developing, and won't actually do an insemination if there are more than 2-3 follicles. If it was an IVF cycle (like octomom), it was a completely negligent doc. These cases make me so upset - they give fertility treatments such a bad name! The likelihood of higher order multiples (3+) isn't high with any treatments, but it seems to me like good doctors don't even let you get into that situation in the first place. Arg!
