7 months and wanting to walk? Any BTDT moms...

My LO is 7 months and not crawling, nor does she seem to have any interest in doing so. If I put her on her tummy she screams. All she wants to do is stand up and pull up on things. Does this mean she will skip crawling and go straight to walking? All this kid does is stand she won't sit down. Any moms have this happen? If so when did your LO start walking?

DD was the same way, but eventually, she started crawling!

Anything can happen. Some babies have been known to skip crawling and go straight to walking. My niece, although she didn't skip crawling, started walking at 9 months. DD started crawling around 8 mos but didn't start walking until 15 mos. So be prepared for anything!

My little guy has been walking (holding our fingers) since 5 months. He barely crawls, an has started cruising on furniture.

She might. A lot of babies skip crawling.
But it could all change in a week too. DS hated being on his tummy and had no interest in crawling at all. All he wanted to do was stand and jump. But last week he started getting up on all fours and now he's a crawling machine.

THIS. DD hated tummy time and then one day, decided she would get on her knees and rock. About a week later she was going backwards and now she is cruising around the house. She still loves to stand and walk while holding on, but she knows she can get where she wants faster by crawling.

Every baby is different, and you won't know when/if they'll hit milestones until they do it. DD1 didn't crawl until 8.5 months, but was pulling to standing and cruising on furniture within days of turning 8 months. She didn't walk until a week after her first birthday.

DD2 has been crawling for 3 weeks and pulled to standing for the first time on Wednesday (just turned 7 months). I think she'll be walking early just to keep up with her big sister.

This was my nephew. He was taking steps by himself at 8 months. Started full out walking my 9 months and around the same thing learned to crawl. He really never crawled though.. Just walked
