NST & GD appt

So I had the second non stress test today.  It was absolutely hilarious.  My favorite nurse was there and apparently she is also LO's favorite.  Baby girl was kicking up a storm.  The nurse said, "Baby keep still for 10 seconds and then you can kick."  Can you believe this LO actually stopped moving for 10 seconds lol exactly.  Well she was kicking so hard and so wild that they had to come in to adjust the monitor like 3 times.  Needless to say, they are not concerned with her movement.

However, they were concerned with my high blood sugars in the morning after breakfast and after dinner.  They upped my glyburide, but that didn't work.  So now I have to take humalog (insulin) before breakfast and dinner.  I have 5 weeks left.  I was hoping to pass by this part.

But that's okay. I just hope she's under 10lbs.

  • I had an interesting NST today, too. Baby dropped so low and was moving so much they couldn't keep the hb on the monitor. The twenty minute test took an hour. :)

LOL! I know!  I asked the nurse, "I thought it was 20-30min?"  She replied, "Well tell her to stop shaking her butt." LOL!

My GD case manager just put me on a new insulin last night because I was up to 60 units of Lantus a day.  It is 5 times as strong so she told me to only take 11 units.  Well, this morning when I woke up my fasting was 49!!!  I panicked and ate a bunch of stuff (cereal w/milk and a few starbursts)!  Anyways...I called her and she is backing me off by 2 units, so hopefully my fasting numbers will be within acceptable range!  Only 4 weeks left of this!  I can hardly wait!
