How Many Covers?

We plan to use prefolds, Kissaluv 0s, and Thirsties Duo Wrap Sz 1 for the NB stage. My question is how many Thirsties covers do I need? I thought 5-6, but I've heard that 3-4 would suffice. I want to wash every other day. Thanks!

    Personally,  I would get at least 5-6. Since the poo is so runny, there are times it leaks off the prefolds and onto the leg gussets of the cover. My guy is 10 weeks and I started with 3 dozen prefolds and about 8 covers. That gave me enough to wash every other/sometimes every 3 day (depending on what we had going on). I got sime kissaluvs after a few weeks and I love them! Really help contain the poo. I wish I had them sooner and had more! I do like my prefolds too.

    With DS, I had 6 and I felt like that was perfect.
