Wednesday at my appt. my blood pressure was high so I got tested for pre-e which came back negative. They rechecked my b.p. today and said it was still higher than what they like to see. She said if I don't go into labor before Wednesday they will induce me Wednesday night

I really do not want to be induced since both of my sisters inductions ended with a csection..which terrifies me! So I have to get this baby out..lol..anyone else being induced for hypertension? Even though I don't really believe in the natural induction techniques, I am going to try all of them! ha
Re: Anyone with hypertension?
I have a small suggestion. I am not sure how much you weigh/your arm size, but I had quite a few high readings recently, and once they switched me to a large cuff, I started having normal readings.
I am not sure if my BP was truly spiking, or if the cuff was too small.
Just something to think about.
FX that everything goes smoothly for you!
I was induced last week (37.5 weeks) for high blood pressure, 12 hours and delivered vaginally... it is a little frustrating because you are monitored the whole time so movement is restricted. Also contractions can get rough with pitocin so be open minded about medication.
Also delivered DS1 vaginally. Definitely try primrose oil as it is suppose to ripen the cervix, and a ripe cervix helps with being induced and delivering vaginally.
If they start talking csection make sure you ask if it is immediately medically needed or if you can labor a few more hours... no need to rush into it.
