I cannot tell you how excited I am about this. We are solidly into BG smalls and we are also testing out the Tots Bots EasyFits and BG OS diapers. So excited!!!
How are the other CD moms doing? What is your baby sporting these days?
We are using bg freetimes and fuzzibunz os.....we used 7th generation size ones (folded down) for a few weeks until he fit into the cds...I love cds! We bought some pampers just to have around for my dad when he watches ds, and I cannot stand them! They are so full of chemicals. I put one under the faucet just to see what all that absorbent stuff is underneath the pad. SO I cut it open and ewwww....so many chemicals and perfumes. Thankfully he won't be in those very often.
I asked DH the other day how he felt about CDs and he said he loved them and was so glad we tried it. He said it was much easier than he expected it to be and he doesn't understand why more people don't do it. Love that man
Congrats! I love the Tots Bots Easy Fits. They are my current favorite diaper for him. I can not wait until my local shop gets the London subway pattern in. I might have to spring for full price for that one.
The only newborn diaper that we are still using are his Bamboozle stretch fitteds in size 1 (also by Tots Bots). They go up to 18 lbs so we have a ways to go on those. I've been adding more of those in size 2 to his stash as I find them gently used.
I also like the Swaddlebees. I'm finding that I have a real preference for Bamboo vs Fleece vs Cotton. I find that unless I get a really tight fit on the fleece diapers that I get some leaking out the top or around the legs. And the cotton just seems like it must be so uncomfortable when it gets wet.
Oh, and I'm using his newborn prefolds to line his Baby Bjorn Little Potty when we do EC. His bum is a little small for the pot still and they provide some padding for him and make clean up really easy.
DS is in small FB's, OS EasyFits, OS BG Elementals, OS Rumparooz and a smattering of other diapers.
I am lookingt to get a few more OS since we had to throw away all of DS1's OS FB's. They did not hold up well at all! I hope DS2 stays in the small FBs for a few more months but he's a big boy so we'll see.
* DS1...allergic to dairy, peanuts, eggs and turkey *
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
I love the EasyFits, too. The TiniFits were our favorite newborn diaper, and she can still fit in them but she needs the added absorbency and so we're pushing her into OS. I loooove their new patterns.
Also a fan of Swaddlebees (she is still in newborn and small with those).
Thanks for sharing ladies! I have been nervouse to try cd. I'm so busy washing bottles and pump parts I thought they would be too much. Seeing as dd only poops once a week it may be easy!

It's really not bad. We have about 25 diapers in rotation right now and I can easily get by washing every two days and could probably stretch to three if I had another wet bag for daycare (I only have 2). You should test it out with a couple diapers and see if you like it.
We use a service which is wonderful! Every Wednesday we put a big bag of dirty prefolds out on the porch and a new bag of clean ones is delivered! We were renting their covers for a while but I just started buying some fun colors and patterns of our own. We've got some OS FB's and just tried out Glow Bug brand... I'm waiting for my shipment of those.

It really is easy. Tho I think you mentioned a lot of upcoming travel. I've done weekends away and week long trips. It is just a little bit more work than the home washing routine. the hardest part is the conversation with your host or hostess About how they feel about diapers in their machine.
Lots of stores and websites have trial programs. So if it doesn't turn out to be for you, you aren't out a lot of cash.
We were using the small size Thirsties and it was getting hard fastening the Velcro around although he's only 15 pounds. I have BG and Grovia AIOs but it doesn't matter how I snap them it leaks on the side or above his bellybutton. I need to call the shop owner for help. If I can get them to fit right I like CD and don't mind washing them.

Cloth diapering is still going really well. DS wears a variety of OS diapers including BG 3.0 and 4.0, FuzziBunz, Rumparooz, And Charlie Banana, plus we have some newborn prefolds and Thirsties DuoWraps that still fit.
DD is mostly in BG 4.0s, with a few size small Charlie Bananas thrown in. I have a few WAHM fitteds and an Sbish that we use at night, and a few other random diapers that I got on sale or as a free one if you spent a certain amount.

We're finally CDing full time. It took forever for K to fit into her OS BGs. I don't mind CDing but I'm discovering that I'm not a huge fan of stuffing pockets. I have a couple Swaddlebees AIOs that I love but I have to make sure that I save them for Tuesdays when my dad watches K since they're the easiest for him to use. I'm hoping to buy some more AIOs soon.

Re: Officially out of newborn CDs!
So glad the wool is working for you!

Dylan has been wearing our OS diapers since he was 5 weeks old. Yep, he's a super chunk!
We mostly use BG4.0's, Smartipants, some WAHMs and I have a few others mixed in.
