I currently use disposables at night, but would to switch to cloth full-time. I have a realllly heavy wetter with super chunky legs (95% percentile for chubbliness). Can anyone recommend an overnight system? I'd really like something that keeps moisture off the skin.
We use BumGenius for days right now, but he was able to pee through the newborn insert with the doubler at night when he was under 2 months. Would using one or two of the BumGenius hemp inserts get us through the night?
Thank you!
Re: Overnight diapering?
It's worth a shot. My overnight is either a bamboo fitted with a hemp insert, or a bamboo pocket with 2 hemp and 1 bamboo insert.
If he outpees that, try looking into a fitted with a cover. Very Baby Simply Nights is a hemp fitted with fleece over top, which pulls wetness away. Any system you use can become stay dry on the skin with a microfleece liner.
If you have some bamboo and hemp inserts I would try double (or triple) stuffing your pockets first for nighttime. I would recommend a bamboo insert with some hemp as a doubler. We found that we would get leg leaks since DD has skinnier legs, but hopefully your LO won't have that problem!
If you're getting leaks then a fitted and wool works the best.
