Mother/Father's day gifts

Ok, so it hasn't really been discussed, but I mentioned getting DH stuff for father's day as LO is due right before then...he wants a stud finder and a couple other small things, so I think it would be fun and cute.

So I mentioned what I wanted for mother's day and he was like "you won't be a mother yet" he was totally joking and I knew he was, so I just said "Bullshit! I have been carring this kid for 8 months I am his mother." Then we both had a good laugh about it.

Anyway back to what I mentioned...my parents bought me various pieces of jewlery througout my life with my birthstone, so when DH and I got married I already had all the jewlery I wanted with my birthstone, so I started getting jewlery with his birthstone.

I happen to have most pieces with LO's birthstone (pearl), but in the off chance that he come early...like May early, I am wondering if I should have DH wait to buy me a pearl ring.

I don't want you to think that I am demanding a gift, but after being toether for 8 years I have learned that if I don't tell him what I want he ends up struggling and getting frustrated and then mad that I didn't tell him what I wanted.

So the real questions is do we wait or should we just go ahead and buy it?...I am usually really decisive, but with all this FTM stuff I seem to lose my nerve...ug!!!

Since it's a jewelry purchase and you may not be able to return it, I would wait until baby is born so you know the birthstone.

My DH got me a pearl necklace for christmas becasue that was going to be LO birthstone. Now we are going to be induced in May. So my advice is to wait because you just never know.

I saw these cute nest necklaces on Pinterest, and I've made several for family members already. I wanted to make one for me to wear with all of our birthstones (baby, husband, and me.) I'm holding off because I want to make sure what the baby's birthstone will be. I will actually be a little bummed I think if he's born in May, I've always liked pearls better than rubies hehe.
