What brand/type of sunscreen are you using for you LO? I'm in the Pacific Northwest, so we're just starting to get some nice days here, but I really want to be on top of the sunscreen thing.

This is one area where I try to stay as low chemical as possible. I'm usually not overly cautious about those things, but we apply sunscreen twice a day almost daily in the summer so that's a lot of exposure! Last year we used Neutrogena Pure and Free stick and this year we are using Think Baby.
We don't have any yet, but I plan on buying Think Baby as well. Our local CD store recommends it, saying it's one of the more natural/green (/whatever you want to call it) ones that actually works well, so we'll give it a shot.
On DD's body I use the Aveeno SunBlock since sunblock, by all accounts is safer for infants and newborns. I have had to use it since birth since we are in PSW and we are outside a lot!

I don't know about this one in particular, but be cautious of buying something just because it says sunBLOCK. A lot of them are mislabeled and are not actually a sunblock, but a sunscreen. A great resource is https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

Thanks, I am actually not a big fan of that site, it's referenced often on the EFF board often. Its a great tool, don't get me wrong, but personally, I don't really like how weird it is to navigate.
I did do my research and the one I specifically linked too might not be the exact one I bought since I got mine locally, and not through Amazon, but the Aveeno baby sunblock I got really is sunblock. Similarly Sunscreen is often sunblock but mislabeled as sunscreen too.

I got Aveeno just because DS's skin responds well to Aveeno lotions and I have minor allergic reactions to most sunscreens (like Coppertone and Banana Boat), so I'm hoping this will be good for his skin.
We use the Neutrogena Baby stuff. It works well, and we used it last summer when she was like 8 weeks. I was a little worried but we were at a lake house for 10 days and outside a lot. I figured the sunscreen was better than a sun burn. And, I really like Neutrogena products as a general rule.
